I would not do it any differently. Firstly, Jen has vendors and venues that are not publicly available that far exceed anything you will find on your own. Jen is a perfectionist and super detailed so you will not miss a single thing in the planning. One forgotten thing can ruin the day, so Jen is the best person for that. Secondly, when you start to feel uneasy, Jen will sort it. Jen deals with all the vendors and even has a minute to minute run sheet for the wedding day! You don’t have to deal with vendors that don’t answer the phone, stuff up orders etc. Thirdly, the last thing you want to do is ask family and friends to do things on the day. You want them to enjoy the day, and most importantly you too. If you dont have a wedding coordinator on the day, it’s impossible to be present and enjoy the day with your nearest and dearest. Seriously, who wants to spend all that money to be stressed on the day? Jen takes it all on. And Jen won’t even tell you about the dramas. Still to this day she hasn’t told me the hiccups. Plus Jen thinks of things that you would never think of, that make such a huge difference on the day. Fourthly, Jen’s styling is AMAZING! Imagine having a coordinator who is a perfectionist that can style your wedding beyond any dream?! You’d think that didn’t exist. Enter… Jen! Without Jen, our wedding wouldn’t have been as beautiful as it was. Before the wedding, she was always there to answer questions and was super helpful, she made the process easy. On the wedding day, Jen was INCREDIBLE! The setup itself was beautiful and everyone couldn’t stop talking about it. 8 weeks ago I reached out to the community, asking for recommendations for cheap venues and decorations as I had taken on the role of planning a wedding for my sister Tamika (Mika) and her fiancé Matt. Matt has Cystic Fibrosis and after a double lung transplant two years ago his health is very poor, but these two just wanted their chance to get married.
Jen from Madden & Co sent me a message. She told me she had many amazing vendors wanting to help give Mika and Matt their special day. Jen had a list of people ready to go before I had even responded! Here I was hoping for some second-hand decorations and now I had a literal angel telling me she was going to give them a wedding!
It’s hard to put into words just how much Jen has done for our family. From organising the most amazing and generous vendors, to the finer details such as thinking of the little people in our family – making sure they were entertained and felt a part of the celebrations. I have never met a woman so kind, so passionate about what she does and so overwhelmingly selfless.
Along with being the kindest woman EVER… Jen is AMAZING at what she does. She’s SO organised, SO talented and an absolute treat to work with. I have spent many days messaging Jen back and forth and she made sure everything was covered and that we didn’t need to worry about a thing.

My partner Matt was born with Cystic Fibrosis. Two years ago he had a double lung transplant. This year, the doctors informed us that they didn’t know how much time Matt has left. After near 7 years together, a year engaged and so many dreams of things to do together we decided to try and achieve our biggest one first. We decided to get married.
What was originally going to be a small back yard wedding became so much more after Jen from Madden & Co Events reached out to us following a social media post looking for some cheap decorations.
